Words & Letters
We encourage children's development of early literacy skills through activities like daily read-aloud of high-quality children's literature. Teachers provide the opportunities to practice writing letters and words and to identify and use letters and words to expand their vocabulary and develop their abilities to communicate.
Brain Building
Children explore the physical properties of materials and use daily calendar activities to learn about sequence of events and promote memory. Teachers support the learning of cognitive skills such as counting, measuring, comparing, classifying, making predictions, testing, and drawing conclusions. We encourage curiosity and choice-making, provide children the opportunity to problem-solve and demonstrate flexibility in thinking.
StartArt
We inspire children to express themselves through creative arts and provide daily opportunities for children to paint, move, sing and dance, tell stories with puppets, and build and play in dramatic scenes.
My World
We model social concepts such as "please" and "thank you," have daily classroom conversations and community-building discussions, explore similarities and differences between children, develop friendship and encourage cooperation with other children. Children learn about the weather and the concept of time. They begin to perform simple experiments.
Wellness
We practice writing activities and puzzles to enhance fine-motor skills; improve balance, coordination and gross-motor skills through running, jumping, and throwing activities, offer healthful food choices for snacks and meals, and encourage learning about the ways our bodies respond to the exercise and nutrition we take in.
Cookie and Friends
Oxford song-based introduction to English with activities based not just on language but on all early learning activities with focus on development of the whole child. The incredible resources, including posters, flashcards, a puppet, CD-ROM and Audio CD encourage children to speak and sing in English. The delightful stories are brought to life through the beautiful A4 story cards. Plus - the tear-out worksheets develop pre-reading and pre-writing skills as well as language learning. The course is divided into six main units: Friends, Sun and rain, Toys, Clothes, Animals and Body. Three shorter festival units are introduced at the appropriate time of the year: Christmas, Carnival and Easter.
